What is 206ONE?
What started as a fun side project has grown from humble beginnings into a full-scale skateboard company creating decks, apparel, events, and community-driven projects for skaters across the United States.
The name comes from “206,” which Kenley began writing after losing his uncle in 2021. At first, it was personal, a way to process grief through art, letters, and movement. Over time, it became something bigger: a visual style rooted in graffiti, illustrated typography, skateboarding, and self-expression.
At its core, 206ONE is about having fun, and not taking everything too seriously. The brand pulls inspiration from graffiti, sports culture, Y2K design, education, local scenes, road trips, and the everyday chaos that makes skateboarding what it is.

What does 206ONE mean?
We have 206 bones in ONE body.

Keeping it local from the i-35 exit "206" to Aquarena Springs-Texas State in San Marcos, Texas. The "ONE" stands for one team, one community, or one individual with dreams or ambitions. Also stands for "ONE" San Marcos, Texas. Our foundation.

The Deeper Story Behind 206ONE
206ONE carries the memory and influence of Stephen Michael Young, known to family and friends as “Lil Steve.”
Steve was a skateboarder, artist, Texas State alum, San Marcos native, and one of seven brothers. He found skateboarding early in life, and it became part of how he moved through the world. It was creativity, freedom, transportation, connection, and fun all at once.
He was also the person who introduced Kenley to skateboarding. When Kenley turned seven, Steve gave him his first skateboard. That gift became more than a board. It opened the door to a lifelong connection with skateboarding, art, community, and self-expression. Kenley looked up to Steve not only as family, but as a mentor and role model. Years later, their shared ties to San Marcos and Texas State became another meaningful connection between them.
In spring 2021, Steve passed away far too soon. Before his passing, he had been developing Project 206-1, a community-focused idea built around helping people across the Hill Country access work, transportation, and opportunity through bicycles and skateboards.
That vision helped shape what 206ONE would become.
206ONE honors Steve’s memory while building something new. At its core, 206ONE is about skateboarding, connecting with people, and carrying forward a simple reminder: have fun, keep moving, and don’t take life too seriously.
206 bones. ONE body. ONE team. Same dream.
